Last week, the Chen Yidan Foundation team joined educators, publishers, and creators at the 17th Asian Festival of Children's Content (AFCC) in Singapore to explore this very question through a panel discussion and an interactive workshop.

💡 Key Highlight: "From Page to Screen: How to Stay Present as Kids Grow Up"

Moderated by Clair Wang, our Global Partnership Director David Wong joined award-winning illustrator Jiu'er and child psychology expert Ye Zhuang in a panel discussion. The panel dove deep into how children's content—spanning traditional books, digital media, and video games—can transcend screens to become real-life pillars for emotional support, cognitive development, and long-term companionship.

📖 Looking Ahead: YiPai Mook Vol. 2

During the festival, we were excited to introduce a preview of the upcoming second volume of YiPai Mook, themed "Growth Through Companionship" (有陪伴的成长). The publication captures deep reflections on how different children content can enter daily life and respond to children's real growth at different stages.

🚀 Action into Practice: Immersive Workshop

Bringing theory into practice, we hosted the immersive board game workshop "Silver Outpost: Lunar Crisis" (银色前哨・月球危机) at AFCC for the first time. Adapted from our "CMYK Future Learner Day" initiative, the workshop challenged participants to navigate resource management, strategic collaboration, and unexpected crises—redefining how play can serve as a powerful tool for future-ready learning.
